About us

Dedicated to the Journey

A dream for more adventure, in a world of checklist-based travel.

Welcome to 'A Day In'!

We're Nick and Kayley, the husband and wife team behind this travel adventure.

Travel is a huge part of our life and it helps that one of us is Australian and the other is Canadian. As part of our many trips locally and overseas, we have loved the challenge to find off-the-beaten path adventures in the cities and places we visit.

We prefer to walk when we can and most of our itineraries reflect that. However, we have travelled with family and friends with varying accessibility requirements, so we do have some great itineraries that showcase there is always something for everyone to discover. After all, sharing our favourite places and making memories with family and friends fuels our love for it.

'A Day In' is built on a simple idea: The best times come from the unexpected. They come from adventures to places you have never heard of and the journeys that take you to hidden wonders. They can come from the discovery of your own backyard with a different lens, or, spending a day in a destination that makes you feel like a kid at heart again.

Our mission is to encourage and inspire creativity and exploration by designing itineraries that uncover what we loved at that destination, making them must-sees and must-dos in our hearts.

Our travel plans are exactly that... our own! We invite you to follow them exactly, or tinker them to suit you.

Our goal remains the same: to encourage you to step outside your comfort zone, create your own journey to your day's adventure, and make memories while you have 'A Day In'...
